A fantastic enameled pendant and chain from the Arts and Crafts (ca1909) era by the esteemed maker James Fenton! This beautiful piece, which is made of sterling silver, depicts a gorgeous abstract enamel pattern which carries a simple yet beautiful design. The pendant is detailed with swirling silver accents, and in between lays translucent blue and green enameling that shows the intricate etched texture below. The centerpiece hangs from a simple chain which comes together at a simple bail ring that hangs from a sterling silver chain. The back of the pendant is marked with the English Lion, an anchor, and the letter "k", indicating it was crafted in Birmingham in 1909, along with James Fenton's Hallmark. The chain fastens with a delicate spring ring clasp in the back. A charming piece that perfectly exemplifies Fenton's work, this wonderful and colorful necklace would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 18" long, including the clasp. The charm itself stands 1" tall, and measures about 7/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or enamel detailing.?
